THE STORY

Wild loves to sing, but he is just too WILD for his own good. He hits the road & meets a rag tag band of WILD animals. The birds go - TWEET, TWEET. Hare’s snare goes WHUMP BAP. Bear Shreds the accordion - OOMPA OOMPA - Bigfoot is there too. They howl at the moon. AhOOO! This band is WILD and they are WILD forever. “We’re all in the same boat together.”

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

this is max. a real life artist, writer & musician born & raised in North Dakota.

he wrote & illustrated wild & the Animal Band. He also wrote & performed the music! Max plays and sings in a North Dakota folk Rock band called Wild Hands. They have performed all over the country and can also be seen on Prairie Public Television!

Max is also the artist & dreamer of an educational program: The LITTLE why not? publishing House. A project that helps kids write and publish their very own hardcover picture books!

The SUMMER DREAM: A NOrth Dakota BOOK / MUSIC TOUR

 

max created a giant book version of WILD & was planning on touring the state to read and perform in 2020. Well… we all know how 2020 turned out. SO the hope is to get this train a moving in 2021!

If your library is interested in hosting a performance at your library / city / town / school - reach out! We are compiling a list of venues to coordinate and organize a book tour for the summer of 2021.

It’s all in the works now, but we would love to go all over north Dakota.
