HELP WANTED! HELP NEEDED!

Help jumpstart a cool new North Dakota thing!

First Off: WHAT IS THE LITTLE WHY NOT? PUBLISHING HOUSE?

The Little why NOt? Publishing House is an educational program where we help kids make their very own picture books. Through workshops we help kids write stories and turn them into hardcover editions to live on the family bookshelf forever.

WE also do Book readings / musical performances / Coloring Events & Art workshops.

Hello! - Max here. I’m the dreamer and schemer of the Little Why Not?

I have put together a really beautiful program that has a lot of interest growing out in the north Dakota educational system and community.

I am an artist & Musician! I put out my first book called Wild & the Animal Band. it’s a book + original songs that i wrote. I made a giant copy of the book to take around and perform at schools and community events.

The JOB - Program Coordinator?

I have already created a bunch of great programs & workshop ideas - it is all ready to go… I just need an organized person to help get the project going.

I can make art and music and perform all over the state - all day / everyday - but My brain is not good at coordinating & juggling the art and creative side with the administrative side!

This is where you come in: I am looking for a go-getter - a partner to help get this really cool project off the ground.

The title would be: Program Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Help create and schedule our workshops at schools and communities around North Dakota

  • Find sponsors & grants to fund our local workshops

  • Find Venues and organize book tours for book readings & musical performances

  • Organize and help create events and workshops for our permanent Storefront / workshop space nested in Main Street Books - Downtown Minot.

WE created an event space nested in Main Street books

There is a space with workshop tables, an art gallery wall & even a stage to have book readings & live music!

The dream is to have this space come alive with lots of cool events.

THe fun stuff - Payment / Compensation

we are a new organization… unfortunately; we are not in the position to pay you a salary. this would be set up as a commission based job - you get paid for what money you bring in. you make your own hours - whatever business / sponsorship / grant money you find and bring in for the project - you get a % of the earnings!

(In my estimations this could be anywhere from $5,000 - $20,000 per year… possibly more with the right fundraising.)

 

AND that’s that - it’s a lot to process, but this project could really have some legs on it with the right go-getter person moving those legs!
